The location is the only good part for families, since this felt more like a bachelor dormitory. The rooms and washrooms weren’t clean. The bedsheets and pillowcase were changed only after I asked, though they hadn’t been changed before. There was no mirror in the washroom, no restaurant in the hotel, and breakfast came in a parcel without tea or coffee. You also can’t reach any switches from the bed.

We arrived to find the reception person unaware of our booking, even though it had been made weeks earlier through oyo, booking. Com. He first refused to give us a room, then checked his tablet, saw our booking in the mail and realized his mistake. The rooms we were assigned didn’t match our expectations or the website photos, so we had to find another hotel, which cost us a few more bucks.

This is a serious NO GO. I booked through Oyo without paying in advance, but when I arrived the receptionist demanded 3000 Rupees even though Oyo charged only 800. After I’d signed the register, he said he wouldn’t accept Oyo. I left to look for a better room nearby. The receptionist was so drunk he couldn’t stand still. The next day, when I hadn’t stayed there, that same receptionist kept calling to ask how I had signed the hotel register. He was that drunk. Best avoided.

The rooms were very neat and clean, and the prices were affordable. The hotel is close to the station and the tourist spots, right among the original kanyakumari town. You can see the beach and enjoy the sunrise directly.
