Hotel Caravan Sarai

The hotel has a good view, but the room felt old-fashioned. There was no hot water, and the bathroom drain was clogged. It was just okay, neither especially good nor especially bad.

We got there before dinner service and I was really hungry. Even though the staff were busy getting dinner ready, the receptionist kindly made me a sandwich. When I tried to pay him afterward, he just smiled and wouldn’t take the money. Very genuine, kind people, and a lovely place.

The terrace has a lovely view, and the food was hygienic and well cooked. The staff were courteous, especially manager Rahul. That was the hotel's main positive for me. There’s no lift, which makes getting around hard for senior citizens. Without an intercom, you have to go looking for someone if you need reception or the restaurant. The rooms also aren’t well maintained. They don’t provide a dental kit or room kettle, and bottled water costs extra. I don’t think it deserves the three-star category it claims.

We booked four months ahead, but the hotel gave the whole property to a film crew that extended its stay. Nobody told us about the change beforehand. They offered us another, cheaper hotel, which we refused, and then the staff acted like hooligans. Their behavior was rude and highly unprofessional. I found them dangerous, and wouldn’t recommend staying there. Safety should come first.
