OYO 27022 Akshaya

It's on the outskirts, where construction is going on, so the area is a mess. The rooms have card-key locks, and there's a lift to the upper floors. There is good cellar parking, and Swiggy/Zomato deliveries can be brought to your room. Rooms are spacious and sufficiently clean, with wardrobes, but bring your own hangers. The bathrooms have no shower or geyser, though hot water was available most of the times I wanted it. The TVs are older cable models, not smart TVs, with no useful subscriptions.

I had to leave the hotel the next day. On 24th August 2023, I asked to change rooms because the bedsheet was dirty and the toilet seat was dirty too. Staff behaved very badly and said no other rooms were available, so I was made to stay there. I had no choice because my company had booked it and I was sick. The hotel looked good outside, but I didn't feel safe inside, especially for a family. I left at 12.30 overnight after seeing people coming for alcohol and what looked like illegal activity. Staff were involved in wrongdoings, people were drinking, and there was no security guard at the door. The automatic room locks could be opened with any number card, and there was no manual inside latch.

The reception didn't respond, and the intercom was disabled. There was no restaurant or drinking water provided. They arranged complimentary breakfast at a local hotel outside. The room was very small for the price, with mosquitoes and insects in both the room and toilet. You just get a room, with no response from reception. I'd say even a small lodge in Karimnagar is better than Akshaya.
