Hotel Harsh Ananda

The suite I stayed in was truly luxurious, and the toilets were huge, possibly as large as some hotel rooms or even bigger. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the food was good. It's a heritage property with a building and rooms that bring back old times, and it's been maintained very well. The whole place was clean and nicely kept.

The staff were courteous and very helpful. The building makes a lovely first impression, but the hotel seems short on upkeep. The bedding was clean, though old enough to make it feel less than clean. Given the room quality, the tariffs don't seem to match.

The location is the best part, in the city's most upbeat, happening area. You can walk to get food or buy whatever you need, and both the railway station and bus station are nearby. There's ample parking, a huge meeting hall, and two very large open lawns. The place is spacious and clean, with a vintage look and nice management.

The hotel is a good place to relax, though there can be a lot of activity during Indian marriage season. When I visited, a marriage procession was on and a photo shoot was in full swing around the hotel. It has been newly renovated. The front garden is reserved for functions, and guests enter through a side door.
