Hotel SP Grand

Although it's conveniently in the marketplace with shops and eateries close by, I don't think the tariff is justified. The hotel is down a narrow lane, and motorcycles parked along both sides during the day make it hard to drive a car in. There are only 4-5 car parking spaces. Maintenance is poor too, with broken, leaking taps and a WC flush that doesn't work.

(22.04.24) The food and side dishes taste good, and the bar staff provide good service. But the chicken curry portion is very small, and they don't give desserts, no matter how many times we ask.

SP residency referred me to this hotel, and rooms were available. Still, staff refused to give us one because we were unmarried. I offered to show valid proof, but they turned us away anyway. I don't know what was wrong with the staff.

I was stuck here because I came for a group event and transport had already been arranged. Otherwise, I would've moved elsewhere. I've never stayed in a room this bad. The blanket, bed, floor, and restroom were all filthy, and I couldn't even touch the walls or cupboards. The bathroom had no lock, bidet, or working flush, and the walls smelled. Flushing brought a foul odor. I don't know if I could trust the restaurant either. There are no Ola or Uber here in the city, which made it harder to leave. How are people giving this place 3 stars, let alone 5? They need a reality check about what a hotel room should look like.
