The rooms are comfortable, but cold air gets through the gaps, so they could use better insulation. It can drop below freezing, and water left in a bucket or container may freeze. The dining room is roomy and dinner has a good range of choices. They also serve hot breakfast and drinks, though rooms don’t have hot water flasks, which is standard in leh. The staff are courteous and seem keen for guests to have a good stay. They’ll bring extra blankets and buckets of water, and the lake views from here are hard to beat.

Stayed on 31 Aug, when it was 0 at night. The dining hall was warm, the buffet food was tasty, and there was warm water to drink. Staff were cooperative, and the tent, bed, and blankets were warm and clean. May-Jun nights can be 0 to -15. July and August are best, while September nights are very chilly and windy. Closed in October. I saw a Himalayan duck family on the lake.

The tents were clean and had all the necessary facilities, and tsomoriri is just a short walk away. We had a good stay, with hot, really delicious food.

The location is beautiful, and the camp has an amazing view. Service was good and the food was really tasty. The only thing they should improve is keeping the washrooms cleaner. Everything else was perfect.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the tents were clean and well kept. They’ll bring extra blankets if you need them. We had warm, homely food too. A lovely experience.
