Alasia Hotel

Finding bed bugs on the bed made it impossible to sleep all night, and the dirty towels, dusty carpet under the sofa, and strong unpleasant smell in my deluxe room made the stay even worse. I had a very unpleasant experience. The property was so poorly maintained it felt abandoned, not like a functioning hotel. The cleanliness and amenities fell badly short, especially for rates comparable to a five-star hotel. This place doesn’t deserve even one star. Booking it was one of my worst travel decisions, and my whole trip became a nightmare. I strongly advise people to avoid it.

We were a family of five adults and three infants, and the property looked good in pictures. Our experience was completely different. The rooms were dirty, with fungus on the beds. In one room the heater shot and burned, filling it with dangerous fog, so we had to change rooms. There were dogs and monkeys around the property. Dogs ate the food we ordered and licked our baby chair, which we eventually had to leave there. The food was below par, so we ordered from outside. The rooms aren’t worth 7000 Rs. I accidentally left my Insta camera there. Thankfully it was returned, but the whole film reel had been used taking random pictures, which I’m attaching here, and the camera was damaged too. Please don’t visit with your family. They ruined our family get-together.

The staff tried hard to help, and the food was reasonably good. My stay at the Alasia Hotel, Kasauli was comfortable overall, though there were some issues. We were about 500 meters from Mall Road, which is convenient, but getting back meant crossing the Mall Road vehicle entry parking. The traffic delays were consistently 45 minutes to an hour. Our room was spacious and the washroom clean, but the bed linen didn’t seem very clean. There were quite a few insects, including mosquitoes, bugs, millipedes and spiders. I understand these may be hard to control with the local climate and greenery. The valley view was largely blocked by big trees.

The staff and chef were really good, and the food was fresh, delicious and cooked just right. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. The best place to stay in kasauli. Thank you.
