The owner was helpful and available by phone, and the hotel is easy to notice from the road. Our room and bathroom were clean. I can’t vouch for security, so if safety is a priority, you may want to avoid it; in an emergency it could be okay for a night. Dinner was awful and we couldn’t digest it, so we ordered Maggi instead. We visited in June, when prices were quite high, but luckily got a room for ₹1500 during peak season. Try negotiating if rooms are available. There’s parking for about 4-5 cars at a time.

We went on the 15th and found the rooms in poor shape, with no cleanliness or hygiene. The rooms connect to each other, so check that before having a conversation. Security was the main concern: while my daughter slept in the next room, a man tried to enter her room. We contacted reception, but nobody was downstairs. It was completely dark, and even when we rang the bell in our room, no one came. Disgusting, pathetic service. Your safety is in your own hands here, so make sure the windows are locked.

For a budget trip, this is a good pick if you want cozy rooms with a classic look. For up to about Rs.2k, you get the best this property has to offer in rooms and views. My personal dinner recommendation is the Yellow Dal with Tawa Roti, it’s the best.

This feels like a residence turned into a makeshift hotel, with high prices, poor service, and bad amenities. The walls are damp and the paint is crumbling; washrooms are dirty with rusty fittings, and the plates are faded while the glasses are worn out. The “restaurant” uses a menu copied from a nearby place, but the cook said only about four items were available, since those were all he knew how to make. The food was just average. There’s also a 20 inch “TV” that won’t turn on. The owner gave false information about the property by phone and said he lived in Manali. I called him from the hotel and could see and hear him on the upstairs balcony, even as he claimed he was in Manali and couldn’t process a refund because of “bank issues.” It’s up to you, but I’d stay clear.

Good place overall, but they need a few more staff. Mr. Rajeev Kaushal works very hard and manages all the hotel’s jobs by himself. He’s a nice man. Master ji, the owner, lives on the top floor.
