Hotel The Chabal

The drive in takes a bit of care because the access road is tricky, but it’s manageable. Staff were attentive, caring, and supportive, and we had a lovely time at The Hotel Chahal. The Kasauli Valley view was stunning, especially at night with lights twinkling in nearby villages. Rooms were clean, hygienic, and nicely equipped. The pool is small but spotless and well maintained. Food was the best we found in Kasauli.

We spent three days here with family and friends, and everyone made us feel at ease. The staff were gentle and polite, the food was tasty and excellent, and the open dining area has an awesome view. The hotel’s location is beautiful too. I’d recommend Hotel The Chabal for a Kasauli vacation.

Meals were fresh and really tasty, with great quality, and the hospitality added a lot to the visit. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well kept, and the staff were polite and helpful from start to finish. We felt welcome at The Chabal and would gladly come back. Highly recommend it.

We were a group of family friends, about 14 adults and 10 kids, and the way we were treated was shocking and humiliating, especially in front of women and children. A staff member switched off our speaker and took it without asking or explaining. When one family member asked the manager to extend dinner time, they paid ₹500 and the manager agreed. Staff also agreed to pack food, including breads in foil, for after our bonfire. At 11:15 PM we were asked to start dinner so staff could wind up, and we cooperated right away. Still, at 11:20 PM we got a final warning that the buffet would close at 11:30 PM no matter what. While we ate in the dining hall, we played songs on our speaker. A staff member again took it without asking. We politely asked for it back, and staff started shouting instead of calmly explaining. Prakash was particularly rude and aggressive. He shouted at the whole group, asking where we were from, who had let us check in, and telling us to throw everyone’s bags outside and check out immediately. There was no basic respect, professionalism, or hospitality. This is the worst experience I’ve had at any property. I strongly don’t recommend this hotel for families or groups.
