Rooms cost 2200 without a view, 2800 for a garden view, and 4000 for a valley view. The place is just before Dharampur, above Gopal Sweets. There’s sheltered parking for around 10 cars and open parking for another 10. The manager was polite and answered our questions, and the rooms were clean and roomy. They provided power backup and toiletries including a comb, dental kit, shower cap, towels, slippers, tea, coffee, and an electric kettle. The rooftop has plenty of seating, sofas, a special area for drinks, and BYOB is allowed. Food comes from Gopal Sweets and is reasonably priced. One downside was that they didn’t provide the rooftop bonfire when we asked, even though wood was available, so we lit it ourselves. The parking smelled because of the staff washroom on the ground floor, and the hotel should address that. Still, I’d recommend the place.

Good choice if you're after an affordable hotel. The bathrooms were so clean they shone like glass, and all the staff were humble and good. Vishal was especially cooperative. I’d recommend it for an overnight stay when visiting Kasauli, Solan, or Dagashai.

The balcony views were lovely, and the rooms were comfortable. Service was quick and professional, and the surroundings were beautiful. The pool was relaxing and well looked after, with modern facilities around the resort. A wonderful stay with great hospitality.

My room was modern, comfortable, clean, and had excellent amenities, including complimentary fruit and coffee. Breakfast had a delicious range of Indian and continental choices. The restaurant service stood out, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, only a five-minute walk from the main square. It’s a brand new property. My only small complaint was that the pillows felt too firm for me. I’d definitely stay again.

Hotel Velvet Grey is right by the highway. We stayed for two nights, and the staff were welcoming, polite, and helpful, especially Vishal Thakur ji. The rooms were spacious. Breakfast was the one drawback, with limited choices, just one item per person.
