Kasauli heights

We cut our trip from 2 nights to a single night after a heated conversation at checkout, when staff misbehaved. I’d advise everyone to avoid this property and its sister concerns: the owner seemed concerned only with money. We booked a 3bhk villa at Kasauli Heights, but the owner gave us a different apartment at Hill Crest, saying it was the same as what we booked. I felt cheated. The owner and staff were pathetic and unresponsive, and the service could not have been worse. Cleanliness was hopeless, staff were disrespectful, and they wanted us to clear the bill before the food service had ended. At 8:30am we ordered coffee and were told the kitchen would start at 9am. Service eventually began at 9:30am. While we were ordering, at 10:15am they suddenly said the kitchen would close by 10:30am. We were furious. At 10:15am the manager also suddenly told us checkout was at 11am. Check the coffee image that was served to me. Terrible service.

We arrived expecting the three-bedroom villa we had booked through agoda, but were offered just one small room. They said we could take it or leave and find somewhere else, with excuses when we asked about the booking. The photos barely resemble the property. It felt like a scam, and I wouldn't recommend staying here or come back myself. They’re just fooling people, so save yourself the trouble.

We chose not to stay after seeing how untidy and poorly maintained the property was, yet they charged us $154. The woman we dealt with, whose name I’m not sure of, was rude and manipulative. She played dirty mind games with us, and we never got a refund from the property. Airbnb eventually helped after we called them. Be very careful before booking, as they make fools of their guests.

There’s a good sitting area where you can enjoy the view, and parking is available. The hosts looked after us well, and the food was good and arranged to suit our requirements. The place has five bedrooms spread over three floors. If you’re coming with four or five families, you can book all three floors. Nice location, five stars from me.
