Gezellig Inn - Magic Mountain

The food was very bad, and the chai was very, very bad too. They don’t have AC in every room, and they don’t mention that. I wouldn’t choose this property if you want a comfortable stay. There were repeated power cuts. Yesterday the electricity went off while we were having dinner, and today it had been out for 30 minutes. The rooms got so hot that I couldn’t open the windows because too many mosquitoes came in. When I asked about the outage, they said the power would be off all day and the generator needed to cool down. I understand that, but why is there no other backup? Guests staying just a day or two shouldn’t have to put up with this. They also don’t list a contact number on Google.

There’s no heating in the rooms, and it gets extremely cold inside. They can provide portable heaters if you ask, but charge an extra 1000rs per day. Those heaters still weren’t enough to warm the whole room, and I got sick during my stay.

The hotel is 3- 4km from the main market, but local cabs are easy to find. The rooms were spacious and clean, the food was excellent, and all the staff were cooperative and proactive in helping guests. Gezellig Inn’s hospitality impressed me. I had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it.

The balcony has nice views, and there’s plenty of parking. The rooms are clean, good, and spacious for the prices, though they could be improved a little. The lift wasn’t working during our visit. Room service was okay, but not very good.
