Shobha Farmhouse

Shobha aunty and Jatin could make the surroundings even greener with some lush trees, since the place has a lot of potential. It’s reasonably priced, and you can take nice walks around the property. We spotted a tiny owl and other birds among the lovely nature. The place is quite isolated in kashid, which gives you privacy from the nearby road, and the room was very clean. The host is caring and spiritual. There’s also a breathtaking view from the shiva temple on the hill next door, about a 15 min climb, which is a must do.

Shobha Farmhouse felt like far more than just a place to stay. I was in Kashid for academic work, and Shobha aunty helped make my site visit possible. Since we had no vehicle and the weather was difficult, she shared information, showed me around herself, and took me with her son in their own vehicle to a local resource. She and her son also made sure we had home-cooked meals when nearby eateries were closed, even though there’s no restaurant at the farmhouse. From the start, she made my mother and me feel at home and looked after us like family. I’m deeply grateful for her generosity, kindness, and warmth.

There are restaurants within walking distance, which was really convenient, and the outdoor sitting area was a nice place to relax for as long as we liked. The rooms and washroom were neat and tidy, and the property felt well maintained and homey. I especially appreciated the owner, Shobha aunty. She’s one of the kindest, most caring hosts I’ve met. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The farm is full of greenery and trees, though it’s a little way from the main beach. That wasn’t a problem for us, and the price felt worthwhile. The rooms were spacious and cozy, and the host was friendly and easygoing.
