The room was new and had great facilities, but we had no water for hours, including while I was showering. “Yogash” the hostel owner didn't come to help after we called and tried to find him, and we got no response. We only discovered at 02:00 AM that the water drain was operated manually and that he'd deliberately turned off the water. Very bad experience. The hostel owner was super rude.
The food was the best part, it was amazing. Everything else made this a bad fit for me. There was no electricity in the chilly winter, so no hot water or room heater. We paid extra for a cottage hoping to sleep better, but loud bass kept vibrating through the room until 12:00 am. Not everyone comes there to booze and smoke weed, and they should set a limit on how late the music plays. The next night, a serious fight between friends kept everyone awake except the care taker. The care taker was himself always carrying a joint. I was there as a photographer to explore and take pictures, so this place wasn't for me. People mainly into boozing and smoking weed may like it.
My room was spacious and clean, with tasteful decor, a comfortable bed, and a ground-floor balcony facing the mountains. The rustic style, wooden furniture, and plush rugs gave Aisling House a homely feel. It's surrounded by greenery, within walking distance of Kasol village and the Parvati River, and has a calm atmosphere away from city life. The restaurant serves tasty, authentic Himachali food made with fresh local ingredients, and the trout dishes are worth trying. Staff were friendly and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile. It's a lovely place for a relaxing Himalayan getaway. Book ahead in peak season, and take a short walk to the nearby village and river. The ground-floor balcony has beautiful sunset views.
We loved the cozy feel and how clean everything was. The view was awesome, and the staff were well-mannered. There are tents, cottages, an open party space, and an in-built open bonfire. It sits right on the main road in the main market. We had a lovely couple's honeymoon stay here.
Our stay was pleasant, and the mountain views were beautiful. There's a bonfire, and you can choose between huts and tents for groups. The food was great and reasonably priced, and the room rents were very reasonable too. What more could you ask for on a trip?
