Hotel Devi Grand

The hotel has a pleasant ambiance, comfortable rooms, cooperative and welcoming staff, parking, and a dining area with lots of food variety. It’s in a convenient, lovely spot at the foothills of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji Shrine. Great deal, and a nice place to stay in Katra. Thank you very much!

The staff’s rude behavior was the worst part. We had one meal included, but they charged us for it because we hadn’t informed them in advance. At checkout, the cab we’d booked through the hotel wasn’t there when we reached reception. They said it would arrive in 20-25 minutes, but we couldn’t wait that long. The rooms were below average, the washroom was dirty, the basin was cracked, and rain came in through the leaky windows. Tea took almost an hour and a half to arrive, and the food was below average too. The rest of Katra was really good, but our experience at the hotel was bad. Jai Mata di🙏

The room had a leaking tap, broken window glass and a broken mirror. The water stayed cold. After asking repeatedly over two days, our family of four received just one bucket of slightly warm water, and the hotel refused our request for an extra bed. They kept the gallery lights off to save on electricity, so it was dark as hell. Room service was poor too, and the attendant wore slippers and showed no sense of hospitality. From check-in to checkout, the experience was so bad I can hardly explain it. Booking this place was a mistake. Don’t stay here, even for free, if you don’t want to regret it and spoil your trip.

The view was fantastic, and the pool made the place feel even more relaxing. The kitchen team deserves a special mention for making our stay comfortable. Deepak was helpful and informative, always ready to lend a hand with a smile. He arranged food at midnight and again at 6 in the morning, and was around whenever we needed help. Shubu was cheerful and cooperative too. Whatever we asked, he took care of it with a smile and a great attitude. Thank you to the whole team, we had a wonderful stay.
