Hotel Maa Saraswati

Our visit to Maa Vaishnodevi was full of spiritual energy, but staying at Maa Sarasvati Hotel – Vaishnodevi, Jammu & Kashmir turned the trip into a nightmare. The peace and positivity from Maa Vaishnodevi’s Darshan were completely ruined by the service and management. Do not stay here. There are better hotels nearby, and I felt this one was a trap. They made promises they didn't keep and offered no solutions, while acting like they were doing us a favor by letting us stay. The staff were rude, arrogant, and untrained, with no manners or service. They lied about the room rates, then overcharged us after 3 days without taking any responsibility. The room had several problems: the AC didn't work, though we were charged for it, and the geyser was dead, so there was no hot water. The bathroom was always flooded and unhygienic, and the room wasn't cleaned even once during our stay. We weren't given a rumal, but it was still added to the bill. The missing handles on both the main door and bathroom door left us feeling unsafe and exposed the whole time. Save your time, money, peace, and safety.

The room was dusty and smelled bad, with a damp wall. The bathroom door lock was broken, there was no cleaning in the room or washroom, and the light switch didn't work. The fan had no speed regulator, the TV remote was missing, and the AC had no gas. Staff behaved fraudulently, charged extra for a free service, and were ready to fight. Third class hotel with fourth class service. Very bad, low quality.

The staff were rude and unprofessional. Even a basic facility like the TV wasn't available, and when I asked, they just said, “tv nahi chalega”. Please don't even consider staying here.

The owner treated us very badly and seemed so upset that I wondered who had made him the owner. This isn't the sort of person who should be in hospitality. The hotel was very dirty and didn't honor its commitments. They wanted to take more money from customers and issued orders based on the timing. He's a very bad person, the worst.
