Hotel Tara Deluxe

Jai mata di. The market is easy to reach from Hotel Tara deluxe, and the price was affordable. Our room was clean, the staff were nice, and we had no trouble getting tea or breakfast. Food and everything else we needed was nearby or right in front of the hotel. The Yatra parchi counter and baan ganga check point are within walking distance. I'd suggest it to people close to me for a comfortable, happy journey. JAI MATA DI

Apart from the staff's behaviour and the location, I couldn't find much to like. The rooms aren't worth the price. They don't check things like the geyser or intercom before handing over a room, and there wasn't even soap in the washroom. Since the intercom didn't work, I had to call or WhatsApp the receptionist on his personal phone. At checkout, they wanted to get a five-star rating themselves and asked me to hand over my phone so they could submit it.

The room was good for the price, and the receptionist was a very nice person who spoke humbly. We got extra mattresses, and Wi-Fi was available. The geyser wasn't working because of a technical fault, though hot water was available. The hotel is on Kashmiri Road, Katra, about a 15-minute walk from the railway station and three minutes from the bus stand. You can stay here, it's a very nice hotel overall. At the bus stand, lots of people will approach you asking if you need a room. Don't get caught up with them: they may show you photos of one room and take you to a different one.

Sharma Ji, the property manager, had a very good attitude and helped us whenever needed during our family visit for Mata darshan. The hotel is in the main bazar, close to JEWELS restaurant and the main center point. It's a good area for families, with restaurants and all the utilities for mata vaishnodevi mandir nearby.
