The location is the main upside: just behind niharika building and near the bus stand, with Katra's main market within walking distance. Some rooms, specifically backside rooms #01 and #02, have valley and mountain views. There's no restaurant, but nearby eateries can provide food even late at night. For the price, the rooms were below average. I booked a family room and a double room for two days. The pillows were dirty, and I spotted a small cockroach in the room at night. Hospitality was almost nonexistent, with only one staff member handling requests. There were no towels or soap until I asked, and the next day they sent only two fresh towels for our group of five adults and three children in the two rooms, one four-bed and one two-bed. On the second morning, one bathroom drain clogged after a bath and flooded the room. Despite several complaints, nobody came to fix it. At reception, I was told, “sir, you are anyway going to checkout rooms at 12 and it is already 11 am.” I explained that all eight of us would have to use the other room's bathroom, delaying checkout, but they still didn't address it. Checkout was another problem. The receptionist insisted on cash, saying that because I booked directly at reception instead of through MMT or booking.com, cash was required. I didn't have enough cash and offered to pay the hotel's account by gpay or even the receptionist's gpay account. He still insisted and sent me to the ATM at niharika gate. I had to withdraw cash. I've never before had a hotel force me to pay that way.
