We went to Zostel Kaza last September, in a group of three, and were lucky to get a room together rather than the typical Zostel experience. The location is ek number, with stunning scenery around the outdoor courtyard and the breakfast and dinner seating. The room was decent, and the food was decent too. The highlight was chatting with other travellers and hearing their stories. The main person at Zostel was helpful, suggesting good routes and sharing the latest road information. I also walked all the way to the river, which was peaceful, but it’s a long walk and not recommended since you may get very tired or get AMS. Worth the money, with beautiful views.

The staff are really friendly and hospitable, and they go out of their way to help you. It’s easy to find, right at Kaza’s entrance, with plenty of parking. A lovely place to stay for a few days, with a great atmosphere and service.

I stayed in the dorm and had a nice time meeting new people. Everything was clean, and there was hot water and a room heater. Good stay, 10/10, I’d come back.

The food was below average, and the manager had a very bad attitude. Staff didn’t follow cooking instructions either. I’ve stayed at over 30 Zostels, and this was the worst one in India. If you’re coming to Kaza, just pick a nearby place to stay.

The location is amazing, and the service and hospitality were good. The only thing is, the rooms could’ve been a bit bigger for six people sharing.
