What stood out most was the staff's honesty. I misplaced my AirPod during my stay at Hotel Vinayak, Kharagpur on 12th and 13th Dec, 2025. Once they found it, they couriered it back to me at no charge. The team were also friendly, courteous, and ready to help, and the service was very good. My room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. I had a really pleasant stay and would happily return or recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Kharagpur.

The room had only a basic stand fan, with no proper ceiling fan, and it wasn't enough to make the space comfortable. The room itself was average at best. My first interaction was also a bad one: when I politely asked a simple question, receptionist Amit answered rudely and unprofessionally. That made a poor impression straight away. Basic comfort and respectful hospitality were both missing for me. Management needs to improve the room facilities and staff conduct, especially at reception. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless those issues are addressed.

This is a standard hotel for the area, but the rooms felt small and had a bit of a smell when I stayed. They could use better paint and putty. The construction also seems unusual, maybe the rooms were built one at a time. Watch your step on the stairs, and there's a high-voltage wire running over the roof.

I found it safe for a couple to stay overnight. The room was very nice, and the staff behaved really well.

I stayed there for 40 days, but I still wouldn't recommend it. The staff get really rude if you don't tip them, and then they won't get your work done.
