Jungle King Resort

The resort sits right beside the buffer zone, and you may see animals nearby. The location is very good. I found the restaurant menu limited and would like more variety. The pool area was average and could use an upgrade.

Jungle King resort is right near the Kanha buffer zone, and the stay felt comfortable and relaxing. The rooms were cozy, the meals were tasty and homely, and service was prompt, especially from Sonal and the dining team. The owner, Mr. Tabish, was always ready to help.

We had an excellent tiger sighting and saw two male tigers in a territorial fight on the evening Safari on 23 April’26. That was thanks to Tabish’s knowledge of Kanha National Park, and to his going out of his way to take us. The owners of Jungle King Resort, Mrs Anjum and her Son Tabish, are devoted nature lovers with excellent knowledge of the park. I strongly recommend staying there and asking Tabish for help planning safaris.

The place wasn’t worth the money, and there are other resorts in the area that offer a much better experience for the same cost. The staff had a negative attitude and weren’t helpful when we needed assistance. Food was poor in taste and quality, with very little variety, and guests weren’t told in advance that all meals might not be properly prepared. We were even charged extra for curd, a basic buffet item. The games facilities were very poor and not properly maintained. There were mosquitoes everywhere. The room had no TV or fridge, and the washroom had no mirror. Even a basic toothbrush wasn’t provided, which felt unacceptable at the premium rates. When we asked for tea, staff said we should have requested it ahead of time. There was no morning tea despite our early safari, and no kettle or tea and coffee mix in the room.
