ATS Willingdon Hotel

We paid the full amount before checking in, after arriving around 2 PM on December 30, 2025, for a stay through January 1, 2026. At about 1 AM there was a power issue, and after a few attempts to fix it, we were asked to move to another room. The bathroom heater in that room didn't work. We told the person on duty around 8 AM, waited an hour, then were told to shower in the room we'd first checked into. We raised the heater problem with reception several times from morning to evening, but nobody came to sort it out. After our event on December 31, the heater still wasn't fixed, so again we were told to use the other room's bathroom. The same thing happened on January 1. We spoke to the same receptionist we'd complained to, and she said she'd talk to the manager. Nothing was complimentary on either day. We had a bad experience and hope management looks after future guests so they aren't disappointed like us. The rest was okay.

We arrived late at night after a long flight and paid the full amount for two nights as requested. The front desk staff helped us check in and gave us room 111. We noticed bugs but were too tired to make an issue of it. Then mosquitoes swarmed the room. No one was at the desk when we went to look for help, so we killed dozens and tried to sleep. The sheets and pillows smelled as if they'd been used, the towels were musty, and dust and dirt were everywhere. The bathroom was in awful shape, with broken pipes and leaking faucets. The furniture was worn and the room was old and outdated. During the night, the AC began making horrible loud noises. We got no sleep, and calls to the property's number went unanswered. It was a nightmare. At sunrise we wanted to leave, but the manager and staff refused to refund the unused night and wouldn't acknowledge the room problems. They were arrogant and unhelpful, with no interest in addressing our concerns. We recorded the AC noise in videos around 3 AM and 8 AM. We woke with headaches and mosquito bites all over our bodies. The manager offered a room transfer, but our confidence in the property was gone and we felt betrayed. We couldn't stay another moment. His refusal to refund us for the night we didn't use felt super unprofessional and unethical. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, even for free. Highly avoidable.

For what they charge, I expected a much better stay. Our room at ATS Willington was dusty and dirty, the bathroom had broken pipes and leaking faucets, and the old furniture and worn carpets made it feel run-down. The amenities were lacking and the whole place felt gloomy. The staff were the biggest disappointment. When we pointed out the problems, they seemed put off and didn't respond helpfully. The rates are high given the state of the hotel, which seems to be running on autopilot without effort to maintain or improve it. It was a waste of money, and I wouldn't recommend ATS Willington unless they make significant changes.

I booked after seeing the lush green grounds in the photos, but the inside felt like a haunted house. The building seemed eerie and outdated, with damp patches on the walls, a strange-looking exterior, and rooms that made me uneasy. The TV looked like it belonged in the 1800s, and the reception was almost impossible to spot. The garden was nice, but not somewhere I could sleep. The final straw was seeing a bug crawling on the wall. I checked out right away and found somewhere else to stay. For the price, I expected services to match. Save your money and your sanity. I'd rather sleep in a car or on the road than stay here.
