Break Water Palace Resort

The place felt like some gobt guest house. The rooms were tiny, with hygiene and amenities below basic, and there’s no kitchen. Breakfast is complimentary, but pretty pathetic. At night they lock the gate, and there are no lights outside the rooms. The pool didn’t look maintained.

The sunset was the only part of the trip I enjoyed. We booked through a third-party site, but the property cancelled and asked us to pay them directly at a higher price. For that cost, the value was awful and the quality and amenities weren’t acceptable. The rooms looked old and nothing like the photos. Our room had a lingering smoky smell, and the sliding door in the “pool view” room made that view pointless. The pool looked filthy and didn’t seem to be cleaned every day. There was no Wi-Fi or cell service, despite what was advertised. At night and early in the morning, other guests played unbearably loud music and screamed, with no staff stepping in. Breakfast was the same puttu kadala every day. I’d avoid the place unless the price drops a lot.

The location was really good, and the staff were kind and around whenever we needed them. We had a birthday during our stay, and they arranged a cake for us themselves, which was so pleasant. I recommend this resort for a family stay.

The sea view is very good, and the place itself is excellent. Rooms were quite okay, and the swimming pool was good with unlimited access. The complimentary breakfast was very simple, though, and the services didn’t feel like enough for the price.
