For my first stay at Chiramel Residency, I was really glad I chose it. I've visited Kochi about six times, but hadn't stayed here before. The place has a calm, comfortable feel and a nice old-world charm. It's well located for Fort Kochi, with most places easy to reach on foot. The room was clean, the hosts were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was simple and homely. A well-run, no-fuss homestay I'd happily return to.

We came away with a wonderful impression of our three nights here with my mum, just a few days before Christmas. The friendly host and staff made us feel at home and kept everything comfortable. The colonial heritage building is over 100 years old and very well maintained. Antique furniture and traditional room decor give it a warm, distinctive character. Its spot in Fort Kochi is also ideal, close to Parade Ground and within walking distance of the main attractions and popular cafes. For a quiet, pleasant heritage stay in the heart of Fort Kochi, I highly recommend Chiramel Residency. It was a highlight of our trip.

We only stayed briefly, but it was a joyful and memorable time in Kochi. The place had the nostalgic feel of a traditional Kerala Tharavadu alongside modern comfort, and everything around the property was neat, clean, and beautifully kept. The staff were so warm, welcoming, and courteous from the moment we arrived. I'd love to stay here again if I visit Fort Kochi, and highly recommend it for a cozy, authentic Kerala experience.

The house is over 200 years old, with a vintage feel, and we found the rooms clean and comfortable. The owner and staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the appam and veg stew at breakfast. It's on Lilly street, a great location with all the streets within walking distance. I highly recommend it. We stayed for 2 nights.

The bed was one of the softest I've slept on in India, and the water pressure was great too. Breakfast was excellent. There's also a bonus right next door, the friendliest Anokhi store in India! Chiramel Residency is a great find in a gorgeous 200+ yo building that's been beautifully preserved. It feels like a peaceful home inside a grand mansion. Highly recommend.
