The owner and family were friendly and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. We arrived late after our flight was delayed, when all the restaurants had closed, but the owner brought us fruit slices and freshly squeezed juice. Our room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, with a TV and AC. The South Indian breakfast of idli and sambar was delicious. The location is excellent, just metres from the Chinese fishing nets and surrounded by handicraft shops and seafood restaurants. A friend who used to live in Fort Cochin recommended Fort Muziris and used to book important visitors there. We can see why, highly recommend.

The staff were very helpful, and the internet was fast. Breakfast was fairly basic. From the train station, our tuk tuk cost 350. It’s a nice base for exploring fort Cochin: the spice market was a 20-minute walk, and the famous Chinese fisher nets were five minutes away. The homestay is on a lovely street, with cooking lessons with Maria right across the road. Do it! We didn’t care much for the backery next door, and preferred "uncels restaurant" about five minutes away. We found a good Agoda offer and stayed one night. We paid for half a night extra to keep the room until our evening departure the next day.

We had the top two rooms, which came with a kitchen, a large living room, and a balcony. A nice, small hotel at a great price. Very clean, with fresh, tasty breakfast.

Mr Gopan, the manager, was friendly, helpful, and polite, and made our stay wonderful. The room was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in, and had comfortable beds and pillows. Mosquito nets on the windows kept very few mosquitoes indoors. Breakfast was nice, the restaurant balcony had a lovely view, and the free WiFi came in handy. A hidden gem in an easy-to-reach spot right in the heart of Fort Kochi.
