Maliekal Heritance

There was so much for our family to do here, from indoor games and outdoor water activities to a boat ride for an extra charge, cycles, basketball, a pool and beautiful cottages. We also had breakfast and hi tea in our package. Our room fit four of us, including a child, and had a lake view, a lovely shower cubicle and a two-person jacuzzi. The resort has beach access and lovely tables by the water. The restaurant is across the way, and even though service took a while with the New Year’s Eve crowd, we enjoyed chatting and feeling the sea breeze. There were lots of staff, great food and a well-organized itinerary through the hotel and mmt. It was my first time at this beautiful Cherai beach resort. We booked at the last minute for New Year’s Eve, and everything we needed was right there. My family loved it!

We got a pleasant surprise with an upgrade, which made an already great stay even better. The rooms, views and breakfast were lovely, and the staff were excellent. Special thanks to Sajo for all the support and hospitality. There were a couple of small issues with the fan and the limited lunch choices at the in-house restaurant, but I’m sure they can be sorted easily. We’d love to come back.

It’s a very peaceful hotel with lovely surroundings, and the food was delicious. The grounds could use updates in a few places, but it’s a good choice if you want a quiet break from the hustle and bustle. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. Adarsh in Waves restaurant was by far the nicest and most helpful young man we’ve met on this journey. All the Waves staff were cheerful, courteous and super helpful.

The backwater view from the spotless infinity pool was a highlight, and the beach is right across the gate, so a morning swim or sunset walk is easy. Maliekal Heritance Cherai sits between the quiet backwaters and Cherai Beach, and its traditional wooden design feels both authentic and luxurious. We felt looked after from arrival to departure. Harshitha at reception gave us a warm welcome, made check-in smooth, and was professional and helpful whenever we had questions. Jithender at the entrance was alert and polite, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel safe. This place combines luxury with a personal touch. We can't wait to come back.
