The Killians Boutique Hotel

Bring mosquito repellent spray if you plan to sit outside. Kochi has a lot of mosquitoes, so outdoor seating gets uncomfortable. We came to the restaurant for dinner and drinks, and the service was well managed. The prawn curry with mango was a favorite, though I can’t remember the dish’s exact name. Parotta was decent, and Bro Code beer was awesome. Staff warned me that it had a strong kick, but I was looking forward to getting drunk that night. One pint was plenty for a strong evening buzz. I did a little research after getting back and found there’s quite a debate about whether Bro Code counts as beer or wine.😁😄

We stopped by the restaurant on Christmas Eve. It’s easy to reach from several important parts of Fort Kochi, especially if you’re visiting the Biennale. We had lime soda, orange juice, Squid in Butter and lime, prawn tempura and french fries. Everything tasted good, though the tempura took a while. Prices were average, not too high. A nice place to drop in.

We paid 75,00€ for a room where almost nothing worked. There was no hot water, water ran down from the AC and made a big mess, and the fan only worked on high speed with no way to turn it down. The curtains were broken and we couldn’t close the windows. A bad smell of burned plastic came in, and loud music went on until 2 a.m. The watercooker and refrigerator didn’t work either. The towels may have been washed, but they weren’t clean. Look at the foto to see the condition of this Hotel. Better avoid it!

The biryani was brilliant, and its fragrance too. We went for dinner; the place was quiet, with lots of tables, and the service was quick and warm.
