Chef Shafi was friendly, accommodating, and attentive to details, with great tasting food and personal service. As a former culinary associate for the Intercontinental hotels, I appreciated how he followed through with every guest. The food and menu were excellent. Dominic looked after us at every meal and is a great member of the team. Please help him build the industry skills he needs to get promoted in your hotel chain. I strongly support him for his service, follow-through, friendliness, and genuine care for customers. At the front desk, Atul was kind and helpful and followed things through. The GM, Mr. Abilash, also deserves a mention for his excellent follow-through and for the property he manages. This hotel is a gem in an ideal location, close to Fort Kochi’s historic sights. We’ll be back.

The chicken tikka masala was smoky, creamy, and nicely balanced, while the beef fry was tender and full of spice. We also liked the earthy eggplant curry, and the homemade paratha was soft and flaky, perfect for soaking up the gravies. Every dish we tried tasted rich, honest, and rooted in tradition. Chef Shafi’s care and skill with authentic flavors came through in the food. Nidhin, the restaurant manager, made the meal memorable with warm hospitality and excellent service. Old Courthouse Restaurant is a real gem in Kochi, and a must-visit for incredible Indian food that does justice to classic flavors. Can’t wait to return. Truly five stars.

Abhilash stayed with us through a frightening hospital visit and helped us find our way through the local systems. After my wife badly cut her scalp in a fall on the stairs soon after we arrived, reception arranged transport to Fort Kochi for emergency care, then on to a general hospital in Kochi for scans and more treatment. His support really saved our holiday. We’d chosen Old Courthouse for its location and guest reviews while touring Kerala, and were happy with that choice. The food was tasty and portions were generous, and the staff, led by manager Abhilash, were outstanding. Many, many thanks.

The staff were polite and helpful, and it’s a beautiful boutique hotel. I was disappointed by the shower area's cleanliness and the shampoo selection: there was Dove shampoo, no conditioner, and an odd bottle of lotion. For a four-star place in Kerala, I would have expected Ayurvedic products.
