Park Residency Kodungallur

The hotel is otherwise good, and the staff kindly tried to get water to the tank, but couldn't. Room #101 had no water in the washroom in the morning, so we had to leave without bathing, after paying the full rent. There seem to be plumbing issues. I'd only choose or recommend this place once management confirms they've fixed them.

Don't expect a welcoming service or internet fast enough to work with. They first told me the internet was very fast and said they'd check the speed and call me back, but never did. When I called, Mr Gireesh acted annoyed that I was calling. They eventually said the speed was low. Mr Gireesh was rude and unfriendly. Once you've paid, that's it, you feel trapped. Very arrogant behavior.

We stayed for 10 nights, so this isn't just an impression from a day or two. The hotel is on a large, busy street with lots of shops and a bus stop nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and handled our requests quickly. At check-in, the floors and bed linens were clean, but the shower walls hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. We asked them to fix it, and that same day the room was cleaned perfectly. Room cleaning is available on request. There was always hot water, with strong pressure and no unpleasant smell or appearance. Our window faced a wall, but we didn't mind because it was hot and dusty outside and the AC was always on. Thick curtains hid the wall, and we only noticed it after a few days when we pulled them back out of curiosity. The room also had a fan, so we could adjust the temperature to suit us. We had an electric kettle, tea bags, coffee, sugar, dry cream, a mini fridge, and lots of hangers in the cupboard. The bathroom kit included soap, shower gel, shampoo, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. We liked the restaurant food too. You can order ahead at reception or call from the room and have it delivered. Portions are huge, one serving can easily satisfy two people, and the dishes aren't very spicy. It felt like a cozy home for our 10-night stay. If we return to Kodungallur, we'll stay here again.

This is my second stay at Park Residency Kodungallur. The staff are very helpful and focused on guests, and they make extra effort for customers with special abilities. I came with my parents and sister on my last visit. The hotel is in the center of Kodungallur, with shopping, restaurants, and the temple all within walking distance. My stay here has been amazing.
