De Oriental Grand

If you're visiting Nagaland, this is a comfortable, relaxing option. We found the rooms comfortable and well looked after, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout. The location is excellent, with a warm, welcoming feel and smooth service. Had a pleasant stay at De Oriental Grand.

We regret choosing this place for New Year's. There were only four rooms occupied in the whole hotel yesterday, and they moved me into a bigger room because we were three adults. It had cobwebs, broken switches and a broken night lamp. Worst of all, the shower area was clogged and the bathroom flooded. The receptionist didn't seem to care much. Today we're the only occupants. You'll find much better places to stay. They just didn't care.

Breakfast choices were limited, and sometimes a few items had run out. The exhaust fan in our room also wasn't working, and it took two days to replace it. Still, we had a nice stay. The location is great, rooms are spacious, parking is plentiful, the food is excellent, and every staff member was warm and hospitable. Probably the best place to stay in Kohima. Special mention to Shalo and Peza at the Front Desk, Pisela in the Restaurant, and Mausang & Nzanthong from Housekeeping.

A great choice if you want to stay in the middle of the city. The Veg food selection is very good and tasty, and the huge parking area is a plus in this hilly town. It's the best hotel in Kohima.
