Fabhotel Perams Grand Inn

There weren't hotel services like daily room cleaning, a breakfast buffet, toiletries, or amenities. The flush didn't work properly, and the clothes rod in the washroom was broken. It felt like renting a room in an apartment, not staying in a hotel. I booked because I'd had a good experience with this chain before, but this stay shook my confidence. I regret paying so much for a room in an apartment rather than a hotel.

We had to contact FabHotels customer service and plead before they moved us to the nearby Pride Inn hotels. It was a nightmare from the start. We booked through the FabHotels app, but this was a shady place, especially for couples or solo girls. The building was under construction, and the Google photos were misleading. There was no reception, and nobody checked our documents when we arrived. The guy there said he'd collect them later. There was no food or room service, not even tea or coffee. We went to the room and fell asleep, then woke up to the whole building in darkness with no electricity. Nobody answered the number FabHotels gave us. The guy who had been at the building was nowhere to be found, and the entire building was empty. In the lobby I noticed a half-drunk cold coffee and half-drunk water bottle. Worse, a wood-cutting knife or chainsaw was lying on the table. We were scared. Photos attached as proof.

The rooms were tiny, just bedrooms in a three-bedroom apartment being presented as hotel rooms. The room and bathroom were dirty and full of cockroaches, and there was no one to clean. My five-year-old son cut his finger on a broken glass table. There was no first-aid box or Band-Aid, and when we asked the boy to remove the table, he refused. The in-charge boy in the room was irresponsible. He kept playing on his mobile and just said nothing was available when we asked for hot water, a Band-Aid, and thread. There was no signboard, and it took us 40 minutes to find the place from the main road. The boy also refused to come outside when we asked him to help us locate it. This hotel and staff were complete nonsense. Fab should remove their tag from the property or it will lose its reputation. Please don't choose this place.

Good location, clean room, friendly staff, and the price was worth it.
