Galaxy Inn

My online booking was confirmed, and I told the staff what time I'd arrive. On the day, they said it had already been cancelled. When I showed the confirmation, the staff member gave me some reasons. The staff were rude and seemed least bothered, and they need training. Service was very bad, cleanliness was a major issue, and the toilets were dirty. The room smelled, and the bedsheet was stained and turned over on one side. Better to avoid it, as there are many other hotels with better service.

We've stayed here several times before and had great experiences. It's a simple, decent budget place and good value. This time, from 13/12/25 to 14/12/25, was a big disappointment. The fourth floor smelled of urine as soon as we stepped out of the lift, and the odor reached our room, #403. We asked to move and were given #413, which was good. In that room there was only a water bottle, one soap, and one small shower gel, with no towels. I asked again later that night and got just one towel, despite double occupancy. I don't understand why hotels provide only one set for two people. Surely two guests need two sets of everything. We'd booked breakfast included. The spread was limited but decent, but our request for one double omelette and one double half-fry for two people was refused on the grounds that there was only one order per room. It was strange to suggest one person could have eggs while the other watched. They only provided them reluctantly after I insisted. This wasn't how our earlier stays had gone. The location is very good, but service quality seems to have declined. We often travel from Pune to Bangalore and usually stop overnight in Kolhapur for Mahalaxmi darshan. We'll consider other options next time, which is sad because we really liked this place.

The rooms are fine, but service fell short. There was no water or glasses in the room, nobody helped us at check-in, and reception didn't provide towels even after I asked. The staff don't seem properly trained.

I took a family holiday here. The rooms were adequate, though nothing stood out, and service was okay without being special. The location was reasonably convenient. An acceptable stay.
