Being right in the city was good, but the service was very poor. I booked a room for four adults and our one-year-old infant. We weren't given basic amenities when we asked. They supplied only two towels for four people, and when we requested more, we were told to make do with those. Hot water was supposed to be available from 6 to 10, yet it was cold at 9 in the morning. They just said that's all there was.

For the price, this is an incredible deal, and I don't think you'll find a better one in Kolhapur. The location is right in the heart of the city, close to major attractions. Rooms are decent, clean, and well maintained. The staff are exceptional, friendly, and always ready to help. I'd recommend Hotel Kolhapur Residency to business travellers, families, tourists, or anyone after a good stay.

Saurabh on the service staff was prompt, and the room was clean. But the room wasn't serviced, and no water was provided, so we had to buy it. Traffic made it too noisy, and hot water was available only from 7 to 9 a.m. Krishna was pathetic as a staff member.

The staff were polite and helpful, but this is an average place to stay and the main-road-facing room was noisy. The WC and washbasin were clean; the rest of the bathroom was awful. The walls looked like they hadn't been washed in ages, with stains and fungus, and the only bucket and the dustbin were in the same state. It completely put me off. Check the whole bathroom and ask for a discount on the tariff.

We enjoyed the stay. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff were amazing. The hotel is beside the main road, with toiletries provided and car parking available. There are over a dozen restaurants nearby. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kolhapur city.
