The room was decent, and since there were just two of us men, we managed. We checked in at 11:15 pm and planned to leave around 9:30-10 am. Checkout is allowed until noon, then there's a charge of Rs 100 for each extra hour. We paid Rs 1250 for a non-AC room, though that wasn't the actual rate. Location gets a 5 from me because it's right by the temple entrance. Service gets a 4: staff promptly brought hot water at 4 am, as we'd requested at check-in. There are other places nearby, including a dharamshala in the lane opposite the entrance gate, about a 200-meter walk. There's no parking here. You need to leave the car about 500 meters from the temple. It can reach the entrance late at night while the temple is closed, but not during the day.
The washrooms were filthy, and the woman attending to us was rude and kept answering back. A very bad place. Don't go.
I was exhausted when I arrived around 6 am, and the reception guy's awkward reaction and gesture as I was leaving didn't sit well with me. I went to see a dormitory, but the price was 500 and I didn't like the place, so I declined. I then asked about bathing, was quoted 100 rupees, politely said no, and started to leave. I have no complaint about the prices themselves, since it's their property and they can set them. But given the rooms and their condition, the rates don't seem justified. They should at least be polite and treat tourists well.
The toilet was filthy and outside the room. We checked in on 26 June 2017, and within five minutes we had vacated the room. I was surprised that none of the Rs. 900 I had paid was returned. My receipt was No 081. My family and in-laws were with me, and after constant travel I was exhausted and dizzy from nearly 10 hours of driving. I expected a cancellation penalty to be deducted, with the rest refunded. Room cancellations happen everywhere, though the charges may vary. Mr. Sanju Kajawe, who handled my booking, called someone he said was the owner of the Bhakt Niwas and passed me the phone. The man said a refund wasn't possible. Mr. Bhosale, please help me as soon as possible. Mahesh Patil Mumbai
Please don't book or recommend this hotel. Six people in my party, including my parents, arrived at 5 pm after a day's travel, but were told there was no room and they'd have to wait until 7:30. They eventually went to another, better hotel. I'd booked two rooms a month ahead and confirmed them. I had asked for a western toilet on the first floor and was told that could be arranged. When I called a week before arrival, they confirmed again. Then, on the day my parents were coming, Mr. Bhosale and mr. Richoli said the rooms would be on the second and third floors first, with a move to the first floor the next day. I confirmed the 5 o'clock timing. When I called about the wait, he answered arrogantly, saying that if rooms weren't available, how could they give one, then hung up. It was a very bad experience.
