The location is the only real plus. Rooms are just okay, the bathroom was in very bad shape, and breakfast was only poori subji. Check-in was a mess. I’d paid in full ahead of time, but the receptionist said the room tariff was higher than what Fabhotel had charged and refused to give me a room. FabHotel customer care said the booking was in order and spoke to the receptionist, but that didn’t help. They then asked me to wait while they tried to arrange another hotel nearby. Eventually the receptionist got a phone call and gave me a room. The whole ordeal took almost half an hour.

This was my second time staying here, and it was comfortable again. The staff look after their guests well, and the food is amazing.

The location is prime, and after moving rooms I found the staff cooperative and nice. I stayed until 25th Feb and appreciated Mr. Sanjay and the cordial staff. I’d booked FAB ASL Gariahaat, Kolkata online from 21st Feb to 25th Feb. The first few hours were frustrating: the Delux room I was shown didn’t justify the charge, and the toilet was the worst part, generally unclean and without toiletries. They showed me two more rooms, but those had much the same issues, especially the toilets. I was nearly ready to leave when Mr. Sanjay (Manager) showed me a family room. That one was comfortable, with a spacious, nice toilet.

The front desk staff and service were terrible. Since I booked online months ahead at a lower rate, they demanded I pay the current room rate and said they’d refuse me entry if I didn’t pay.
