The food was average and could be better, and the noise made it hard to sleep. Loud music went on until about 4 a.m. during my two nights at The Golden Parkk. The location is excellent, especially for visa appointments, since the U.S. Consulate is an easy walk away. That’s the main thing in its favor, but the noise really affects comfort.

Breakfast was the weak point, served in a lounge or discotheque with only about 3-4 choices. The rooms themselves were clean and great, and the bathroom was fresh-smelling and tidy. I requested a quiet room at check-in and got one on the third floor; there was some sound, but it wasn’t a problem. Park Street and Shakespeare Sarani are nearby, and the location is the main draw. Good if you’re here for that, otherwise you might prefer somewhere else.

Service was poor, and the girl at the front desk was very rude. They wanted payment for food right away instead of adding it to checkout, saying it was company policy. When I asked to see the policy, they said they wouldn’t share it with a guest. I don’t know whether they made that policy for themselves or for guests.

I had a really nice stay and hope to come back. Mr Shubendu das, Mr Md Manir and uttam were helpful, professional, and put a lot of care into making guests comfortable.
