Hotel Raj North Dumdum

Our connecting flight was seven hours away, so we wanted somewhere close to the airport to rest. After calling and reaching the hotel, I saw groups of girls who looked suspicious to me, around 18-25, coming out with men. I left my family downstairs and went up to look at the rooms. They smelled bad and were dusty, with torn sheets and pillow covers. There were matchsticks and cigarette butts all over the floor, and condoms floating in the toilet bowl. We grabbed a taxi and went straight back to the airport. If you have a connecting flight, don’t stay here. Pick another hotel, spend those 6-7 hours at the airport, or go sightseeing, but avoid this place.

I went with my parents after a long flight, carrying a lot of luggage, and we’d hoped to find a nearby guest house where they could rest. This was the worst choice I could have made. The interior was awful, the toilet had no running water, and the AC didn’t work all night, even though we paid extra for it. It was about as bad a place to rest as I could imagine.

Affordable, and the location is great, right near the airport.

The room was in poor condition and wasn’t clean. The washroom wasn’t good, and the toilet flush never worked. The AC was out too. There was only one socket, so I couldn’t watch TV and charge my phone at the same time. WiFi didn’t work either. They charged RS 1500, which is far too much for a room like this.
