There’s plenty of transport nearby, including local buses, cabs, and the metro. Sealdah railway station is accessible, and Howrah railway station isn’t too far either. On the street you’ll find a variety of eateries, plus a restaurant and bar. The hotel also has car parking. The rooms are okay, though small and limited in space, and cleanliness is okay too. Room service can be very slow at times. The food is good and tasty, but seems a little costly. The room price could be a bit lower for its size.

The staff were helpful, and the central spot made it easy to get around, reach attractions and markets, and find places to eat. It can also be handy for visa processing. The in-house restaurant serves decent food at reasonable prices, though some guests find it costly. Plenty of people seem to enjoy their stay, especially for the location and friendly service. There are drawbacks, though. Some visitors mention stained sheets, dirty bathrooms, and small rooms that feel poorly maintained, with old or broken amenities. Noise from nearby bars and clubs can also be a problem. It’s a budget-friendly choice with a mixed record, so the experience may depend on what matters most to you.

I stayed at Victerrace from February 27 to March 5, and the room issues left me extremely disappointed. The two-way switch didn’t work, the fan regulator was broken, and the TV picture kept shaking even after the TV channel came back. The telephone was fixed only after I complained several times. I told the staff about these problems, but most were left unresolved. It felt like nobody cared about guest comfort, and it affected my stay badly. I expected much better service from a reputed establishment like yours.

In winter, keep in mind that the warm water runs out quickly. I also had to ask every day for fresh towels, water, and tumblers. Even after asking for plates and cutlery, they arrived so late that the food had gone cold.
