OYO 48739 Fantasy Stay

Reviews on the app said exactly what happened to me. They cancelled check-in just before I arrived and charged double. OYO still lets them use its franchise, and you can't even post a review on the app. Scamming at its best. I'm never booking a hotel based on app reviews again.

Room 102 at OYO Fantasy Vibe was uncomfortable and unclean. The bedsheets had stains and burns, and the bathroom floor tiles weren't clean. I asked for fresh sheets on the first day, but they were changed only on the second day. The pillow covers stayed the same. The place seemed like an old house converted into an OYO property. There were no nearby shops, the room lacked basic amenities, and no one checked the room or bathroom cleanliness each day. My business trip needed a clean, comfortable place, and this was a disappointing stay. I wouldn't recommend OYO Fantasy Vibe. Cleanliness, comfort, amenities, maintenance, and value for money were all 1/5. Avoid it until it improves significantly.

I called the hotel to confirm my OYO app booking and asked if I'd only have to pay the amount shown there. They said yes and told me I could come check in without paying extra. But after travelling nearly 10km at 11pm, I got there and they changed the terms, asking me to cancel or book offline. Disgusting.

We paid Rs. 2500, but the rooms were so dirty that I asked reception to clean them. The person there shouted at us and said, "Thakte hobe na beriye jaan", meaning we didn't have to stay and should leave. We left after spending about two hours trying to sort it out, and got no refund. I then had to borrow money from a friend to find somewhere else to stay in the city for my work, since I hadn't brought enough for a second booking. The staff were rude, and even phone calls to the OYO were getting cut off. I paid and didn't get to stay a single night. I thought I saw some shady side business, but can't confirm that from such a short time there. OYO didn't help at all. It was a shocking, horrible experience, and I'd tell people not to go. A place in Salt Lake shouldn't have been this bad.
