OYO 8471 Sushama Accommodations Newtown

We booked online at a reasonable price, but when we arrived, OYO Flagship Sushama Newtown refused to honor it and demanded more money. We refused. While two friends went to look for another place, the receptionist, a short woman with glasses, started verbally abusing the two of us who stayed behind. She spoke loudly so we could hear, mocking and insulting us while laughing. It was vile and completely unprofessional. The smile she greeted us with was just a front. She was rude, nasty, and untrustworthy. I’d give the hotel zero stars if I could. Avoid it.

It’s easy to find, right on street 16, newtown. The rooms are neat and very clean, with little attached balconies where the evening view is soothing. Staff are polite and helpful, and the service was good enough. Food delivery is allowed, and they also offer rooms for parties depending on the number of people. I really love this place. For a reasonable price, I’d choose to stay here without hesitation.

The manager and I used to chat a lot, and he was so kind that he always called me "babu". Some relationships just happen unexpectedly and last, and that’s how it felt with Manager Uncle, though I’m sorry I don’t know your name. Thank you for treating me like family. It’s a lovely place, with a friendly, family atmosphere. The area is still developing, but groceries are available about 200 m from the guest house. They’ll even bring things to you without making a fuss. I don’t know why people complain about the service. On a self-stay vacation, a small delay or staff being busy with another task doesn’t mean service is bad. Even KFC calls it self-service. We’re people, not robots, so an order won’t always be ready instantly.

The rooms are big and have balconies, so renovation could make this a good option. As it is now, they’re extremely dirty, and cleanliness is a major problem. The word “flagship” doesn’t feel deserved.
