Starlit Suites Newtown Kolkata

The food was delicious, and my room was comfortable, neat, and clean. Everyone on staff was polite and supportive. I especially want to thank sharmistha ji at reception and G.M. sir for being helpful and supportive. I really enjoyed my stay at Starlit Suites, Kolkata, which has nice facilities. The whole staff provided impeccable service, including those whose names I can’t recall.

My suites were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a home-away-from-home feel. I had a wonderful stay at Starlit Suites, Kolkata, and the team’s sincere hospitality made the experience memorable. The place is right behind DLF-2 and easy to reach from nearby IT parks. It’s far from central Kolkata, though. As of 14 Dec 2025, the nearest active metro station you can get to from the hotel is Salt Lake Sector V. More stations are coming, but they aren’t open yet. My room was neat and tidy, the staff were very helpful, and check-in and checkout were easy. The swimming pool was terrible and very poorly maintained. The water was dirty, with bird poop in it, and even looking at the pool made me feel sick. I’d give the hotel four stars, taking one off for the pool.

A few of the staff were kind and polite, but some really spoiled the experience. The room itself was spacious and clean. The balcony still had cigarette butts from previous guests, so we had to let room service know after we’d settled in. The food was below average, and 80% of the menu wasn’t available. The restaurant took a long time to serve it, and it wasn’t worth the wait. They brought the food on a very dirty tray. The bathroom also had a drainage problem. I think it’s common in most rooms, since a friend staying in another room had the same issue.
