The Kolkata Hotel by OYO Rooms

Food can be ordered by phone, though there’s no restaurant on site. The hotel is budget-friendly and easy to reach from Acropolis Mall, and the rooms are big enough for a couple. A third person sharing makes things difficult. Cleaning needs attention, water sometimes doesn’t run, and the staff’s behavior isn’t well managed. They don’t seem to have professional staff, but at this price you may have to put up with those issues.

The staff were helpful, and the price was reasonable. It’s close to Acropolis Mall, which is convenient. My room, though, was tiny and dirty, from the pillow and bedsheet to the quilt cover and floor. The TV didn’t work either. Management really needs to sort things out.

The room interior was honestly impressive, and the service was quick. Staff were polite too. Food was good quality and affordable. The location is a big plus, just a two-minute walk from Acropolis mall and the Rene Tower(visa office) bus stop and auto stand. We had a good time here, and it seems suitable for families or a get-together with friends.

Rooms are clean, the staff are pleasant, and there’s free Wi-Fi. I’d just ask the owner to consider giving guests drinking water at no charge. I know packaged water is for sale, but complimentary water would be a thoughtful basic amenity. We usually offer water to our own guests.
