The Manor House

This is a strict no for families. I stayed four nights with my mom and 12-year-old son, arriving late at night on the first day and checking out early in the morning on the last. The pictures on Google don’t match the reality, so choose carefully. The sheets, pillowcases, towels, and quilt cover had blood stains; the white fabric had turned grey and was torn in places. When I asked for replacements, staff said they were washed but old. In the toilet, the exhaust fan didn’t work, the toilet seat and jet spray holder were broken, and the basin took at least three minutes to drain, making it unusable. When I reported it, I was told no plumber was available. Staircase lights in the common area were always off except by the ground-floor reception. Breakfast was only served in the room if pre-ordered, after a 45-minute wait, with very limited options: one omelet, two slices of bread, four pieces of puri sabji, one sausage, two boiled eggs, one tea, and one coffee. On the third day, after cleaning the room, they didn’t refill tea, coffee, or sugar sachets because we were due to check out the next morning. There was no mineral water in the room. Better to buy your own, as the two steel flasks held regular water that wasn’t drinkable. One staff member seemed to be handling everything. Poor guy, he even slept at reception, and it didn’t seem possible for him to look after both the guests and the property alone.
