Oyo 1021 Hotel Gayatri Residency

The room condition was very bad. Turning on the window AC made the glass window vibrate and produce a loud noise. The staff were really rude, and I’d advise anyone against booking here. Their behavior was very bad.

The service was quite nice, though the room itself was in a bit of bad shape.

We checked in at 6 am and planned to leave at 11 am the following day, but the checkout terms kept changing. Staff first said checkout was after 24 hours, which would mean 6:30 am, then said we could stay until 11 if we paid extra. When checkout came, they denied agreeing to that and demanded the full two days' rent. I’ve travelled for over two years and never dealt with hotel staff this rude or unreliable. They don’t know how to speak to guests. How can someone run a hotel when they can’t stick to what they say?

The hotel is close to the railway station, and the room was just about okay for one night. But I booked an OYO 3X room advertised with a sitting area and fridge, and was given a small room instead. What’s the point of the X, 2X and 3X categories if they don’t mean anything? The main bathroom tap wasn’t working properly, and when I reported the water issue, they said they might move us at 10:30 pm if someone checked out. We had arrived at 8:15 pm, and online listings showed other rooms as vacant, so it felt like we were being misled. The linens didn’t seem clean and looked as if they’d already been used. There was no WiFi or card payment option.
