My elderly parents and my sister, who is a Canadian citizen, were due to stay at Hotel Fathima Palace on 9 March 2026. I booked them a deluxe room with breakfast through Goibibo. Even after I sent a screenshot clearly showing complimentary breakfast, the hotel staff said it wasn’t in their system and suggested I hadn’t selected or paid for it. The night duty male employee was rude on the phone. He said the restaurant in the screenshot had been closed for over a year and insisted a breakfast booking wasn’t possible, blaming me instead of checking the reservation. I had told the hotel in advance that my family would arrive late and that my sister was Canadian. Still, when they arrived, the same employee refused to accept her passport and demanded local ID. On the earlier call he had said a passport was fine, and the hotel’s own policy lists a passport as valid ID. My family ended up waiting at midnight while he insisted that a foreign citizen provide an Aadhaar card, delaying their check-in for no good reason. The room and toilet were extremely dirty and smelled strongly. My family had to clean the room themselves after checking in. I’ll attach photos of the room and the Goibibo booking screenshot showing breakfast was included. Based on this experience, I strongly advise people to avoid booking here.

We were five family members sharing a twin room. It was neat and clean, with good interiors and hot water available 24/7. The staff were good, and the location was convenient, within walking distance of the markets, shopping streets, and restaurants. I hope they offer more competitive prices and put a mini refrigerator in every Delux and executive room, which would attract tourists. May Almighty bless Fathima hotel group. The bedroom looked just like the website photos, and it wasn’t bad. But the booking said breakfast was complimentary, and it wasn’t included. We had to fight to get reimbursed, which wasted our time. The washroom was unbelievably dirty. We bought toilet covers to use, but the seat and washbasin were filthy, and my mom tried washing them with soap without much effect. One staff member was very friendly, while the day staff acted as though we were aliens.

That worm in our room pretty much says what to expect here. I don’t understand the 4.5-star rating. The rooms were unclean, the toilets outdated and dirty, and my bathroom didn’t even have a wash basin. The white blanket was stained and disgusting. There was only a basic wall fan, and the bed was so soft I could feel the frame underneath. Worst sleep of my life, and the rooms weren’t cheap either.

I stay at this hotel eight times a month, and the good service and friendly manner keep me coming back. Asil at the front office is especially hospitable and a person of good character. I stay there for that reason.
