Kottakkal feels like home to me since I’m from Malappuram, and I travel around India and abroad quite often. I arrived at The Rubis at 8:30 PM after the long drive from Bangalore, with my family away, and really needed to sleep and rest. I called before booking through MMT to ask about a late checkout. Even though checkout is at 12, they agreed, which many property managers wouldn’t. That says a lot about how they treat customers. The building isn’t new, but the room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and fresh. Hot water, the TV, and air conditioner all worked perfectly. The property is on the Malappuram-Kottakkal Main Road, with the bus station just 100 Mtrs away. It’s 100% couple and children friendly. I had a great stay.

Shops are all around, and Arya Vaidya Shala is only a short walk away. Apsara is nearby too for meals, with rich Malabar flavors. Rubis sits right in the heart of Kottakkal. There’s plenty of parking, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. A restful stay, with a thoughtful welcome.

The rooms and washrooms were clean, and the service was good. There’s parking available and a restaurant nearby. Good location, with spacious rooms at a reasonable price.

I booked one double bed, but they gave me two single beds instead. The rooms look like old lodge rooms, and they charge a high price for them. The online pictures are the only nice part. My room wasn’t clean, the curtains were dusty, and the bedsheets and blankets had already been used. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The service made me feel valued, from the friendly staff to the quick replies whenever I had a request. My room was comfortable and beautifully appointed, and it was meticulously clean, which made it easy to relax. I appreciated the warm welcome at check-in and how well the room was maintained throughout my recent stay at The Rubis Kottakkal. Every part of the experience exceeded my expectations.
