Bimba Hotels

We’ve made Bimba Hotels our new go-to in Mysore. The rooms are clean and well maintained, room service is timely, and the staff are well behaved and honest. Their Terrace Restaurant is worth trying. On my last visit, I left my bag at the Terrace Restaurant. Housekeeping took it to Reception, and after I asked about it, they returned it safely the next morning.

The hotel is new and has good facilities, but the service was pathetic. We stayed two days in two rooms. Mahesh and the housekeeping staff were courteous, and Nikhil and Rajamma at reception were nice and polite. Still, one room didn’t even have an intercom, and room service never answered our calls. We asked for tea, but it never arrived, and the coffee we got was cold. There was loud noise in the middle of the night after the rooftop restaurant closed. It happened every night and was a nightmare for guests on the third floor. They kept making noise even after we complained.

We booked a triple occupancy room through Goibibo and had a comfortable stay without any disturbance. The rooms were very neat and clean, with a bit of a luxury feel. The restaurant food was good, and the breakfast spread did the job. Staff were warm too. A great stay!

I booked through Cleartrip at the price shown on its website, but the hotel refused to let me check in, saying it couldn’t give me a room for what I’d paid. I didn’t know what the actual rate was. As a customer, I simply booked at the quoted price, so any issue over what Cleartrip and the hotel listed should be between them. The front office executive, Mr Nikhil, wasn’t courteous and didn’t seem to know how to treat a guest. I travel all over India, and this was my worst hotel experience. Guest handling here is terrible. I hope the management gets experienced staff who can sort out situations like this without putting guests through trouble. I hope other guests don’t face the same kind of difficulty.
