The rooms and service are okay. It’s near the railway station, so this is a good option if you need a quick freshen-up before heading somewhere else.

I found the staff very rude, especially the receptionist Mrs. Anitha, who treated us badly. I wouldn’t recommend Homestead to anyone. It felt more like a hostel, and they wouldn’t let us go out after 11 pm. There was no TV, no blankets, no room service, and no plates or glasses. A very disappointing experience.

The room is a little small, but fine for one person. It’s about 1 km from the railway station, with a market nearby and a Thali restaurant serving both Veg and non veg food.

Poor hygiene, no room service, and mosquitoes everywhere. A room for one person costs more than ₹800, too. I had a very bad stay at homestead and felt there was zero value for guests. Around 11.25 pm, a group of students started hanging out noisily outside. The receptionist allowed it, despite other paying guests being there. I complained, but management didn’t respond. What a pity. I wouldn’t take a room there. 👎

Sheets, towels, the room, and bathroom were clean. It’s centrally located, with easy access to Kottayam town, and works well for travellers needing a short stay. The experience was very average, though, with only basic amenities.
