The convenient location made this a good option for a short, hassle-free visit to Kottayam. I had a pleasant stay at Daan Orchid Residency, with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff throughout.

Mathew, a front office staff member, treated my party and me rudely during our recent stay. His dismissive, hostile manner felt unprofessional and inappropriate for someone in hospitality. We felt frustrated and unwelcome instead of receiving a helpful greeting. We chose the hotel expecting hospitality and respect, and this experience seriously affected how we see its service standards and brand. I’m asking for a formal acknowledgment of this complaint, an internal investigation into Mathew’s conduct during our interaction, and information about what corrective steps are being taken so other guests aren’t treated this way. We look forward to a prompt response about how you intend to address this serious lapse in service.

I’ve stayed at the Dan Orchid Residency in Kottayam several times, with family and on my own, and the rooms have always been neat, clean, and well maintained. The pricing is very reasonable, lower than other hotels in the area, and good value for money. It’s in a prime spot, so getting around and reaching nearby places is easy. A comfortable, budget-friendly stay, and I’d recommend it.

I picked this hotel to be near the festival at the temple, and it worked perfectly. It’s close to town and the temple, but on a quieter street that was a bit dirty and smelly. The bed was comfy and I had a quiet night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. In town, I ate at Arcadia SkyBar in the evening and had lunch at Mr. Johns Bakery across the road from it. Both were excellent.
