The main draw is the location, about a two-minute walk from the beach. The property is maintained, but the rooms are basic, and cleanliness could be better. We booked a non-AC room, which was manageable in November, and toiletries weren’t provided. The price felt a little high for what you get. Akhil was responsive and helped change our sheet. He also met us at the parking lot and led us through the small streets for the roughly 100-meter walk to the property. Google Maps shows the wrong location, so contact the property for directions. There’s no parking on-site; you’ll likely need to use the Hawah Beach Resort parking area, which may cost 100-200 INR depending on how long you park.

Dirty and badly maintained, with mildew and barely any water pressure. The terrace window into the room doesn’t lock, leaving the room accessible to anyone. At 4200RS, this was the worst value hotel I’ve experienced in India, and maybe in my life.

We only stayed one night, but the room was nice and clean, and the staff impressed us. We hadn’t booked ahead, yet they prepared a room for us right away, before check-in, which we really appreciated. They also gave us a card with their details in case we needed anything. The place is very pretty, and I’d recommend it. We lost a star because at about 12:30 am we realized there were no sheets, so we had to sleep under towels. I’m sure it could’ve been fixed, but I don’t think anyone was around then. We also needed toilet roll in the room.

I live nearby without AC, and when the heat gets unbearable, especially toward the end of March, this place is a godsend. Joy is such a kind, cool owner. The rooms are immaculate and really quiet, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and there’s a beautiful courtyard. His reasonable prices mean I can come by almost every week. He’s saved me from going completely mad in the heat. Thank you, Joy!
